Climate Cafe

National Festival of Making, Blackburn.
July 2024.

Campaign.

Continuing our creative campaign with The People's Jury of Blackburn with Darwen, we returned to the National Festival of Making this year with a drop-in Climate Cafe.

Remember our shadow art piece ‘The Future Depends on Our Actions Today’? Visitors were invited to make their own printed postcard with the same message, sending it to a loved one to inspire action and reduce our environmental impact together.

We were joined by Lancashire-based artist Amy Quinn, who brought locally foraged flora and fauna to create botanical prints. We also had a range of recycled papers, eco-friendly inks and old Lancashire postcards for people to collage with. It was great to see so many people getting stuck in with printmaking, whilst having important conversations on climate action.

The Jury will be running more Climate Cafes from September across Blackburn and Darwen. Check the website to find out more: www.thepeoplesjurybwd.org

We look forward to continuing our collaboration with The People's Jury and the National Festival of Making in the future!
