At Co-op’s digital innovation  and co-working space The Federation. Coordinated events with community partners, supporting them to  realise ideas, managed event spaces and community activities. Led on all communications and marketing, created strategies to communicate with audiences better. Experienced in writing copy, content and managing Mailchimp newsletters.

Produced and delivered a creative programme working in co-production with Manchester Central Foodbank users to build an online archive of narratives of poverty. Delivered 650+ creative activity packs to individuals and four partner schools across Greater Manchester. Successfully pitched to Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham in support of the scheme.

Ran a work placement with mentoring charity ArtsEmergency, to support and coach local college students from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds to build a portfolio of work and gain important skills needed to transition into creative higher education and employment.

Worked with Manchester Art Gallery to coordinate and lead a Summer School programme of creative thinking and visual storytelling for local 14-18y/o from diverse backgrounds.

 

EVENTS • COMMUNICATION • COLLABORATION

Organised an arts festival of performances, films, live art, comedy, spoken word and workshops for 200+ attendees, liaising and building fruitful relationships with artists and stakeholders, coordinating a team of volunteers and engaging new audiences.

Led a successful campaign for change alongside UK charity Shelter on youth housing rights; managing a team of five, coordinating campaign sessions, house meetings and culminating in a large-scale take-over of The Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester alongside a dynamic panel discussion.
