(Fairfield Social Club, Manchester)
On December 11th 2018 we ran The Greenhouse, a creative fundraiser for Manchester Central Foodbank featuring creative workshops, talks by prominent social change-makers and a big party with music provided by Natalia, Modern Logic and Muziki Sessions.
The night was a protest; there was a chance to lino cut and print onto t-shirts and tote bags, fashioning the uniform of the revolution. We had an urban graffiti space with a stencil making workshop, life drawing in The Botanical Garden, and 'Go To Hell!' sky lantern decorating, sending grievances straight to the inferno.
In addition we were joined by some of Manchester's most exciting social change makers inspiring us with ways to make positive change; from tackling food waste with Open Kitchen MCR, living sustainably and lovingly with Cracking Good Food, and Do It Yourself Allotments: Grow your own!
