The Listening Party was an evening of underground, 60s new wave rebellion taking place in a Fallowfield basement called Under Gallery.
Debuting the idea of a listening party, the idea was BYOS (bring your own song); every person attending brought the 1 track they wanted to share with everyone. People dug out their best tunes, no limits, their choice. The soundtrack of the evening was made up by each and every one of us.
We brought back the liquid light shows of the avant-garde 60s, surrounded by exciting performances from Manchester's experimental performance artists. In an exciting visual display of lights, there was the chance to make your own liquid light slides and play around getting oily.
